Evening of fun planned during Winter Wonderland

Winter WonderlandLooking for an exciting way to start the holiday season? Then attend the Winter Wonderland dance festival Friday and Saturday in Cowley College’s Robert Brown Theatre. Both performances will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $4 and can be purchased in Cowley College’s Humanities Department.

More than 150 participants will take part in the event, which will have special performances by students in Cowley College’s dance class, the Tigerette Danceline, Ark City Dance, and the Cowley College Singers.

Led by Cowley College dance instructor Jennifer Blatchford, students in Cowley College’s dance classes have worked on their performances since September.

“My Cowley kids are super excited to perform,” Blatchford said. “We want this to serve as a community Christmas get together. It will be a great way to get into the Christmas spirit.”

Participants in the show range from three years old through college age. Along with the several genres of dancing on display, the Cowley College Singers will perform twice during the evening.

“We are excited to have them back to be part of the event,” Blatchford said.
