Damn Yankees is the story of a 1950’s baseball fanatic who trades his soul for a chance to lead his favorite team in the pennant race against The New York Yankees. He leaves his wife and everything about the life he knows behind to become the young baseball sensation, Joe Hardy. As the new talent on the team, he transforms the hapless Washington Senators into a winning team, only to realize the true worth of the life (and wife) he left at home. In order to return home where he belongs, Joe must contend with the contract he signed with the Devil and a sizzling temptress named Lola. Filled with hit songs like “Whatever Lola Wants” and “You Gotta Have Heart,” Damn Yankees is a home run, and the winner of 7 Tony Awards!

“We are thrilled to be bringing such a classic musical here to our stage” said Val Callaghan, Managing Director of the Bartlesville Community Center. As a part of the Broadway in Bartlesville! series Damn Yankees is sure to make the audience feel as if they have been transported to New York City where this traveling show began. This is a musical that can be enjoyed by any Broadway lover!
