Wright Community Room inside the Brown Center on the main campus. Pictured with Straight is Nancy Rogers of the American Red Cross.

The annual blood drive had 61 people give 54 units of usable blood according to figures released by James Fry, coordinator of the ACES program. Fry was pleased the blood drive surpassed its goal of 59 people donating blood.

Every two seconds someone receives a unit of blood. The need is constant. It is the American Red Cross’s goal to meet that need through voluntary donations.
