Cowley selects 2012-2013 Student Ambassadors


Twenty-four students have been selected to represent Cowley College as Student Ambassadors for the 2012-2013 academic year.

According to Lory West, Cowley College director of admissions, 82 students were nominated.

“We had a lot of very talented and diligent students to interview,” West said. “It was a tough decision, but we are excited about the Student Ambassadors we have selected for next year.”

Ambassadors are required to work two hours per week in the Admissions Office, performing various tasks, including giving campus tours, or making photocopies. They also are required to work special events such as New Student Orientation, Senior Day, and Principal-Counselor Day.

Students chosen for the 2012-2013 academic year are listed in alphabetical order: W. Alex Alvarez, Abby Crow, Evandro de Souza, Gary Fizer, Micah Fry, Cathy Hafenstine, Megan Hamlett, Julie Hinson, Brenda Mapel, Piper McCord, Jessica McDowell, Talia McNickle, Jennifer Mendez, Abigail Mettling, Kelsey Nolting, Georgina Perez, Jessica Perry, Kassy Ptacek, Caroline Strickland, Lacey Tipton, Paige Vanderpool, Mariah Vargas, Ruy Vaz, and Sabetha Young.
