Comedy Night approaching at Cowley College

Writing their own material and then presenting them in front of an audience, Cowley College students will put their comedy skills to the test as part of Creative Claws’ Comedy Night held Thursday, April 5 in the Earle N. Wright Community Room. The event will begin at 7 p.m.

Admission is $3, or $2 and a donated canned food item. Entry forms can be picked up in the Humanities Department and need to be turned in by the morning of Wednesday, April 4.

The event, which was started at the college in 2008, will feature comedy sketches and skits of original works.

“It is a lot of fun and provides a lot of laughter,” Creative Claws co-sponsor Marlys Cervantes said. “I love to see that side of the students.”

Prizes will be given to the top finishers. Last year, the grand prize went to Clareasa Johnson and Crew, and the second place winner was Morgan Wilson.
