C.A.A.T. preparing for several fall semester events
Striving to positively influence lives by setting an example for their
peers through their responsible actions and choices, the Cowley Activity
Awareness Team (C.A.A.T.) hopes to promote healthy lifestyles through
several activities they have planned during the fall semester.
During the month of September, C.A.A.T will host a Benefit Dinner/Labor Auction on Monday, Sept. 26 with carryout dinners beginning at 5 p.m. and the actual dinner at 6 p.m. in the Earle N. Wright Community Room. They will also host a Beating Addictions presentation on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. inside the Wright Room. The final event in September will take place on Thursday, September 29 with the C.A.A.T. Safe Casino Night, which will be held from 7-9 p.m. in the Jungle.
October events consist of: “Behind the Mask Mental Health and Respecting Differences” presentation Thursday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. in the Wright Room; the C.A.A.T./ACES Numana food packaging event will be held on Oct. 16 at 1 p.m. in the college’s recreation building; and a Habitat for Humanity work day with a date yet to be determined.
November events: C.A.A.T. will attend the Bacchus National Conference in Washington, D.C., Nov. 2-6; C.A.A.T. Adopt a Highway fall cleanup will take place Nov. 12 at 10 a.m.; a Stress Screenings and Study Skills information table will be set up in the McAtee Dining Center Nov. 15 from 10:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.; and a “Don’t Stress . . . Study and Be a Success” study hall will be set up in the Jungle Nov. 17 from 6:30-8 p.m.
