As part of presidential search, Cowley to hold a pair of public open forums on Jan. 15

In the search for a new president of Cowley College, the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) will assist the school in conducting a pair of public open forums on Tuesday, Jan. 15. The forums will be held at 10-11 a.m. and 3-4 p.m. in Cowley College’s Earle N. Wright Community Room, located inside the Brown Center.

With former president Dr. Patrick J. McAtee retiring from the school on Dec. 31, 2012, Tony Crouch is serving as the interim president until a decision is made on who will become the fourth president in the 90-year history of Cowley College.

Cowley College’s Board of Trustees, along with the ACCT, are conducting a national search for the next president of the college. The ACCT has a long and successful history of conducting national presidential searches and their expertise, assistance and resources will be of great value to Cowley College.

The two public open forums are viewed as a significant step in the process of the presidential search. The forums will consist of wide-ranging discussion about the qualities and qualifications desired in a new president.

John Steinecke, ACCT Search Consultant, will facilitate the forums. Those unable to attend either of the two forums can feel free to contact Steinecke at to share your thoughts on what information should be included in the presidential profile.
