Fizer III, McDonough named Homecoming king and queen


homecomingA pair of well liked, active students, were named Cowley College’s Homecoming king and queen during halftime of the Tiger men’s basketball game vs. Highland Wednesday night at W.S. Scott Auditorium.

Gary Fizer III was crowned king, while Kaitlin McDonough was crowned queen.

Fizer is the son of Gary Fizer Jr. and Lisa Chatman. At Cowley he is involved in choir, theatre, IMPACT, FCA, Act One, intramurals, and is a Student Ambassador. He plans to transfer to a four-year university.

McDonough is the daughter of Kenny and Dera McNown, and Sean and Susie McDonough. At Cowley she is involved in choir, Act One and theatre. She plans to transfer to the University of Kansas and major in theatre.

Last year’s king and queen, Anthony White and Rosi Simmons, were on hand to pass on their crowns. Audrey Schears, daughter of Ben and Rachel Schears, and Braxton Graber, son of Zack and Megan Graber, handled the duties of the crown bearers.

Queen finalists were:
Kaitlin McDonough, Micah Fry, Kassy Ptacek, Tiffany Stuhlsatz, and Brittany Swopes.

King finalists were:
Gary Fizer III, Alex Alvarez, Dylan Berry, Craig Cropek, and Ruy Vaz.
