PTK planning benefit dinner and silent auction


Tickets will go on sale soon for a benefit dinner and silent auction to help raise money for Cowley College’s Phi Theta Kappa organization. The benefit dinner and auction will be held on Friday, April 12 at 6 p.m. and will showcase student talents.



Also, PTK recently inducted 98 new members. The ceremony was conducted by officers Cathleen Call, Jill Kanning, Jaci Hall and Maria Hernandez. The guest speaker was Ben Schears, vice president for institutional advancement and student affairs, and the afternoon concluded with Arleta Colvin giving a chaplain’s address.


basket winnerThe PTK organization also had a successful fundraiser in which they sold tickets for a chance to win a Cowley Couples Basket. The drawing was held at half time of the men’s basketball game on Saturday, March 2, and the winner was Dian Schaefer.
