PTK students receive awards at Regional Conference

Students in Cowley College’s Phi Theta Kappa organization were well represented at the awards ceremony held at the PTK Kansas Regional Conference Saturday in Hutchinson.

Tammy Fuentez, Kansas Region Coordinator, was on hand to present the awards.

Cowley College’s Jill Kanning received the Distinguished Chapter Officer Hallmark Award. The award is based on a nomination from an advisor and a chapter member for his or her dedication and commitment to projects.

Kanning, along with Cathleen Call, Jaci Hall, Maria Hernandez and Bethany Dillard, were named a Distinguished Chapter Officer Team. This honor is awarded after nomination of advisors for collaboration on projects.

Evandro De Souza received recognition as a Distinguished Chapter Member. The honor is awarded when an advisor and an officer nominates the member for outstanding contributions to chapter projects.

While, Mulvane Center PTK sponsor Chad Killblane was the recipient of a Horizon Advisor Award. The Horizon Award recognizes new advisors who participate in regional programs.
