Cowley College, Baker sign articulation agreement

Baker Articulation AgreementCowley College has partnered with Baker University in Baldwin City, KS, to better assist students planning to continue their education, as officials from both schools recently signed an articulation agreement.

The agreement between Cowley College and Baker’s College of Arts and Sciences is designed to improve the transition process for students, enabling them to transfer their credit hours from Cowley to Baker. While Baker welcomes applications for admission from any student, the agreement pertains to students who earn an Associate of Arts (A.A.) or Associate of Science (A.S.) degree at Cowley.

“This agreement is a great articulation for our students who want to continue their education at a fine university,” Slade Griffiths, Cowley College vice president of academic affairs said. “Baker offers a wide variety of four year degrees that are excellent and geared for our graduates.”

Mark Bandre, vice president for enrollment management and student development at Baker University, is pleased the articulation agreement will provide Cowley College students the opportunity to seamlessly transfer their credits to the Baldwin City campus.

“This initiative will create more opportunities for students at two-year colleges in the region as they become more aware of Baker’s degree and major offerings,” Bandre said.
