Tickets on sale for PTK benefit dinner and silent auction

PTK AuctionCowley College’s Phi Theta Kappa honors organization will host the second annual benefit dinner and silent auction at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 3 in the Earle N. Wright Community Room. Tickets can be purchased from PTK members or at the college’s Humanities office.

What a $15 ticket will get you: Great Western Dining will provide a pork tenderloin dinner with wild rice, pineapple squash, multi-grain croissant and a fabulous dessert. PTK officers and members will serve the meal and offer entertainment for the evening in the form of skits, music, comedy and dance as individuals peruse the wide variety of items available for bidding.

A few of the items to be auctioned are, a Kansas State University gift basket, a Cowley College gift basket, and gift certificates to be used at A Break from Reality, WB Meats, Quail Ridge Golf Course, Cowley Cinema 8, Willow Fashion, and Montana Mikes.

The funds earned from these donations and the dinner will help PTK students pay for registration and travel expenses to leadership conferences. Trips this year have taken the students to Paola, Manhattan (KS), and Lawrence. The group also has plans to attend the PTK national convention in Orlando, FL, in April.
