Hypnotist entertains students after first day of classes

hypnotistPerforming in front of nearly 600 students Thursday night at Cowley College’s Robert Brown Theatre, comedy hypnotist, Joshua Seth, kept the audience laughing throughout the evening.

With the first day of classes in the books, Seth helped students unwind by getting everyone involved with his interactive comedy and mind tricks.

Seth’s routine is such a hit with the students that this marks the fourth time in the past five years that he has performed at Cowley.

“Joshua Seth was awesome,” Kristi Shaw, director of student life said. “He is the real deal. It was great to watch the students participate and cheer on their fellow classmates up on the stage.”

Seth voiced several well-known cartoon characters and worked as a magician prior to focusing on his career as a hypnotist. He is also the author of a book on the use of hypnosis for weight loss.

He was nominated for both the 2012 “Best Male Entertainer” and “Best Live Novelty Artist” Awards by Campus Activities Magazine.
