College reaches its goal of 55 units collected at blood drive

The annual blood drive had 55 people give 55 units of usable blood according to figures released by Tabitha Farley, coordinator of student health services. Farley was pleased the blood drive reached its goal and praised the work done by the volunteers.

The next blood drive to be held at the college will take place Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. inside the Earle N. Wright Community Room.

Every two seconds someone receives a unit of blood. The need is constant. It is the American Red Cross’s goal to meet that need through voluntary donations.
