Second Anthro Expo to be held November 13


The public is invited to join Cowley Anthropology and the Cowley Public Archaeology & History group for the second Anthro Expo, Wednesday, November 13 at 7 p.m. in the Earle N. Wright Community Room at Cowley College. This brief event is an exposition of the various projects and activities of the anthropology program at Cowley College.

The evening will feature presentations of research projects by anthropology majors, an update on the state of the program, displays of local artifacts, and information about upcoming events and happenings.

Highlights include a poster presentation on Kiowa traditional technology by anthropology major James League, and fellow anthropology major Keegan King will discuss religion in ancient Rome. The most recent updates to the Cowley Anthropology Museum Online will be highlighted, as well as recent field trips taken by the Cowley Public Archaeology & History group. Previews of Kansas Archaeology Day other spring events will conclude the evening’s presentations.
