Mulvane Career and Technical Education Center conducts job fair

Providing students an opportunity to meet with prospective job seekers, Cowley College’s Mulvane Career and Technical Education Center hosted a job fair for Non-Destructive Testing and automotive students on Tuesday night.

Companies represented at the job fair were, NDT – Team Industrial Services, Chrome Plus, Triumph Accessory Services, Tulsa Gamma Ray, Spirit AeroSystems, Rusty Eck Ford, Midas, and Midwest Kia.

“Thanks to everyone that participated in Tuesday night’s event,” Tim Walton, automotive instructor/coordinator at Cowley College’s Mulvane Career and Technical Education Center said. “We are looking forward to another job fair in the spring at the Mulvane Center.”

Cowley College Career and Technical Education Department Chair Joe Clasen said graduating students at the job fair were offered jobs and the students that do not plan to graduate this semester are preparing their resumes so they will be ready for the next job fair scheduled in April 2014.

“I am happy that the students have the support of the college and the local employers to get them out into the workforce,” Clasen said.
