CC Singers stay busy for Valentine’s Day 


CC SingersHelping make Valentine’s Day extra special, the Cowley College Singers performed songs all day Friday and raised more than $700 to help with future performances.

Twenty five individuals ordered Singing Valen-grams, which consisted of the Cowley College Singers delivering one or more songs, one carnation and one beautiful handmade valentine’s card to a lucky recipient.

The Cowley College Singers, under the direction of vocal music director Connie Donatelli, is a highly visible and entertaining performance ensemble. The group delivered Singing Valen-grams in Winfield and Arkansas City.

Songs performed were Let Me Call You Sweetheart; I Love You Truly; Hooked on a Feeling; I’ll Be There (Jackson 5); Close to You (Carpenters); Let it be Me (I Bless the Day I Found You); Happy Together; I Can’t Help Falling in Love with You (Elvis); Stand by Me; and Lean on Me.

The Cowley College Singers will be featured along with the Cowley Jazz Band during its concert on Tuesday, April 28. The concert will be held at 7 p.m. inside the Robert Brown Theatre.
