Cowley College conducts College Goal Sunday event

For the third consecutive year, Cowley College held the College Goal Sunday event where students and their parents received professional, one-on-one help filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This year’s event was held on Sunday, February 22 inside Cowley College’s Webb-Brown Academic Center.

High schools represented by attendees were, Wichita East, Rose Hill, Winfield, and Arkansas City. Garret Taylor from Arkansas City High School was the recipient of a $500 scholarship sponsored by KASFAA/College Goal Sunday.

College Goal Sunday makes applying for financial aid easier and helps ensure the student is considered for the maximum aid for which they are eligible. In Kansas, College Goal Sunday is a nonprofit event coordinated by the Kansas Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (KASFAA) and other interested and dedicated volunteers. This annual event is supported by funds from USA Funds; KASFAA; and the federal College Access Challenge Grant, administered by the Kansas Board of Regents.
