Rea, Wright named Homecoming King and Queen
HC Queen & KingCapping a week full of Homecoming activities, Butch Rea and Kandice Wright were named Cowley College’s Homecoming king and queen during halftime of the Tiger men’s basketball game vs. Neosho County on Wednesday night at W.S. Scott Auditorium.

Rea is the son of John and Lori Rea. At Cowley, the Business Administration major is a member of the Tiger baseball team, a Resident Assistant and is involved in PTK. After Cowley, he plans to continue playing baseball at a four-year school.

Wright is the daughter of Tye and Anne Wright. At Cowley, the Business major is a Student Ambassador, Tigerette, Student Senate vice president, Phi Theta Kappa vice president, and member of the concert choir, FCA and Chi Alpha youth groups. She plans to transfer to Fort Hays State University in the fall.

Last year’s king, John Rohr, and queen, Jamesia Milton, were on hand to crown the new king and queen. Peighton West, daughter of Landon and Lory West, and Briggs Buckingham, son of Brock and Jessica Buckingham, handled the duties of the crown bearers.

Queen finalists were:
Holly Landis, Jazmin Lara, Breanna Leake, Addie Wiley, and Kandice Wright.

King finalists were:
Ian Brannan, Douglas Chace, Andrew Horning, Butch Rea, and Will Edwards.
