Cowley students heading to campus

With the school year beginning Thursday, August 14, Cowley College students will begin moving into the dorms on Tuesday, August 12 during the school’s annual Dorm Storm held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The dorms are currently full with a total of 482 freshmen and sophomores. However, the school is still taking applications for individuals to be placed on the waiting list.

“The dorms are a wonderful experience for the students,” Jason O’Toole, executive director of student affairs said. “Our social and academic goal this year is to provide the students in the dorms with an exciting, fun, safe environment.”

An all housing student meeting will follow at 7 p.m. in the Robert Brown Theatre, while the improv group “Shot of Reality” will take the stage at 9 p.m. to provide alcohol awareness insight.

“The evening will be fun, but also serious,” O’Toole said. “The day will serve as a good way to get students off on the right foot to the school year.”

Other upcoming student life events include:
