Cowley College awards final scholarships for fall semester

 

The Student Services Department at Cowley College has awarded scholarships to the following students.

  • From Arkansas City High School: Savannah Brown is the recipient of an Ark City American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship. At ACHS, she was involved in track, School Counts, Forensics, yearbook, and Upward Bound. She was a member of the Honor Roll and plans to major in business accounting.

    Sarah Scruggs, daughter of Dennis and Jorita Scruggs, is the recipient of a Fostine Moncrief and Lawrence and Lorraine Swaim Memorial Scholarships. She plans to major in music.

  • From Winfield High School: Caroline Fulbright, daughter of Dennis and Pamela Fulbright, is the recipient of a Don Springer Memorial Scholarship. At Winfield, she was involved in Drama Club, Art Club, and Link Crew. She received a Leadership Award and Citizenship Award and plans to major in architectural engineering.

    Kristin Porter, daughter of Rich and Kim Porter, is the recipient of a Robert Brown Memorial Scholarship. She plans to major in business administration.

  • From West Elk High School: Christian DeFalco, son of Mark DeFalco and Melissa Edwards, is the recipient of an Endowment Scholarship. At West Elk, he participated in football, track, basketball, and was the class treasurer. He plans to major in athletic training.

  • From Union High School: Breanna Robb, daughter of Sara Mata, is the recipient of a Robert Brown Memorial Scholarship. She plans to major in pre-nursing.

  • From Mulvane High School: Holly Brizendine, daughter of Dave and Kimberly Williams, is the recipient of a Fostine Moncrief Edowment Scholarship. At Mulvane, she participated in marching and concert band, concert choir, KMEA District Honor Band, KAY, Wichita Wind Ensemble, and the National Forensics League. She received regional and state awards for flute and choir ensemble and plans to major in music education.
