Social Science students make scarves for those less fortunate
Cowley College students in Cathy Hendricks’ Social Science classes have been busy knitting, looming, and crocheting scarves to donate to the less fortunate in our community.

More than 20 students participated in the activity with 15 of them learning the art of arm-knitting from Ashlee Overlin (who came up with the idea for the project) and Bailey Busher and Charity Schmidt, who learned how to arm-knit from a tutorial video on YouTube.

Students who participated received service learning credit for their accomplishments. The final result was 108 scarves and one hat to be distributed throughout various organizations.
