Auto ClinicCowley College automotive students teamed up with members of the First Assembly of God in Arkansas City to put on a Car Care Clinic on Saturday, January 1 at the school’s automotive department.

Among the work being done were oil changes and checking fluid levels. Volunteers also provided inspections of the vehicles and identified more significant problems that needed to be fixed.

“I was very proud of our students for giving up their Saturday and giving back to our community,” Cowley College automotive instructor Jim Ailey said.

Cowley College president Dr. Dennis C. Rittle, along with Career and Technical Education Department Chair Joe Clasen, and welding instructor Bob Moffatt also stopped by to praise the efforts of the volunteers.

The next Car Care Clinic is scheduled for mid-April.
