Sean Anderson to emcee Creative Claws

SeanCreative Claws is proud to announce that this year’s talent show will be emceed by Sean Anderson, radio personality, entertainer and author. The talent show is Thursday, March 10, at 7 p.m. in the Robert Brown Theatre. Admission is $3, or $2 if you donate a non-perishable food item.

“We are excited to have Sean come to Cowley and emcee our show,” says Marlys Cervantes, director of the Creative Writing program and club sponsor. “His wide range of talent and experience, as well as his successful book, make him a perfect fit for Cowley.”

Anderson’s entertainment experience includes theatre, radio and stand-up comedy, with an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE in June 2003. He moved to Ponca City, OK to be close to his family and is currently  the host of radio’s “Sean in the Morning Show”, while still doing stand-up comedy and working as an inspirational speaker.

“What might be of particular interest to many on the Cowley College campus right now,” Cervantes says, “is Sean’s book, Transformation Road—My Trip to Over 500 Pounds and Back.”

Many Cowley staff and faculty members are part of a fitness program sponsored by Cowley’s Wellness Team, part of which is a Biggest Loser contest.

Here’s your chance to support Cowley writers, be entertained by Cowley students, and grab some inspiration of your own! You can purchase your tickets in the Humanities department or at the door. If you have any questions, please contact Cervantes at 620-441-5560 or through the Humanities department.
