Blue-Line Tracking Day set for April 29

The Cowley College Criminal Justice Department is once again hosting a Blue-Line Tracking Day on April 29. The Blue-Line Trackers are a group of professional trackers that assist law enforcement in a wide variety of cases.

Blue-line trackers are a volunteer organization composed of people from a variety of disciplines that are trained in the ability to follow, read and interpret signs of human passage. They are a unique resource available to law enforcement in our region and have been strong supporters of the criminal justice program.

While the class is primarily geared towards the criminal justice students the topic is quite interesting and there are a limited number of seats available for others that may be interested in the topic.

The class will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, April 29. The morning session will be in the President’s Dining Hall from 8:30 to 11:45 a.m. There will be an on your own lunch from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then on site introductory training will be provided from 1-4 p.m. weather permitting.

Those interested in attending can contact Frank Owens, Director of the Criminal Justice Program, at 620-441-5285.
