The Tiger Athletic Department plans to reach out over the next few weeks to individuals they were unable to connect with on Wednesday. Following those connections the final dollar amount raised projects to be close to $65,000.

Cowley College athletic director Shane Larson was pleased with the results of the Blitz Drive. The Blitz Drive is a great time because it signifies the start of another exciting season,” Larson said.

“We would not have the success we do in Cowley athletics without the support of our boosters. Their support gives us the ability to bring in the best athletes.”

Following the Blitz Drive, Larson thanked the supporters of the Tiger Booster Club during a reception held Wednesday evening inside W.S. Scott Auditorium. During the reception, coaches from Cowley's fall sports programs addressed the crowd as they prepare to open the 2016 season.

The Tiger Skins/Brian Groves Memorial Golf Tournament preceded the Blitz Drive.

During the past year, Tiger athletic teams combined for 11 national tournament appearances, and four region titles. In addition, several Tiger athletes were named to the 2015-2016 All-American and Academic All-American teams.

The Tiger Booster Club has six levels of membership that range from $120 to $2,500. TBC members are admitted free to all Tiger sporting events. Orange and Black Club ($1,000) members and Super Boosters ($2,500) will have an opportunity to display their business logo on Cowley College's new athletic web site. Additional advertising opportunities are also available on the new web site.

Reedy Ford in Arkansas City pledged $2,500 to become a Super Booster in the Tiger Booster Club and an additional $500 to serve as the sponsor of the Cowley College Male and Female Athlete of the Month. Reedy Ford General manager Tim Milby, who graduated from Cowley College in 2001 and has been employed at Reedy Ford since 2007, is looking forward to the partnership with the College.

“As a 'Dealer for the People' we feel like if we are going to ask people for their business we need to be intricately involved and support our local community as much as possible,” Milby said. “We want to be good supporters of the College.”

Reedy Ford will be celebrating 50 years in business in 2017.
