Dr. Rittle discusses humility at Rotary Club of Winfield meeting

Cowley College president Dr. Dennis C. Rittle, the President-Elect of the Arkansas City Rotary Club, had an opportunity to speak at the Rotary Club of Winfield meeting held at Baden Square on Wednesday, August 17.

Bradley Gamber, President of Rotary Club of Winfield, was impressed with Dr. Rittle’s presentation.

“That was one of the most extraordinary presentations I have been a part of,” Gamber said.

Dr. Rittle discussed, leadership, fellowship, and service. He said humility is not thinking less of ourselves; rather, it is the ability to think of ourselves less of the time.

“These are the defining qualities for Rotary members who perform with an attitude of humility, and who transform those qualities into something far more extraordinary,” Dr. Rittle said.

After the meeting Gamber and Annika Morris, Rotary Club of Winfield President-Elect, visited with Dr. Rittle about upcoming projects the Winfield and Arkansas City Rotary Clubs could possibly work together on.

“I feel if we are able to harness the talent and energy in both of our clubs we could accomplish something amazing,” Gamber said.
