With several hundred entries submitted for Medallion Awards, Cowley College took home two Gold Medallion Awards and three Bronze Medallion Awards.

Kris Ripley, the digital content person for Cowley College, handles the graphic design work for the college’s publications and had a hand in three of the awards. Ripley and Rama Peroo, Cowley College’s director of institutional communication and public relations, each received Gold Medallion Awards in the Sports Brochure category for their work on the 2015-2016 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Media Guide. Ripley also garnered Bronze Awards for his work on the viewbook and poster categories.

“We are honored that the NCMPR has chosen to award Cowley College’s marketing and PR teams with these prestigious awards,” Cowley College vice president of institutional advancement Dr. Kori Gregg said. “This serves to validate what we already know about our team, that they are professional, talented and are among the best of the best in community college marketing.”

Liz Shepard, Program Director for TRIO Upward Bound, and Sarah Bryant, the previous director of marketing at Cowley College and current adjunct instructor at the school, received Gold Medallion Awards for their work in the invitation categories. Shepard has worked at Cowley College since March 2002.

Shepherd and Bryant also received Bronze Medallion Awards for their work in the event category, while Bryant joined Ripley in earning a Bronze Medallion Award in the viewbook category. Bryant previously received a Gold Medallion Award in the special event promotion category.
