Music Department to present Christmas Vespers Sunday at 2:30 p.m.


Christmas VespersCelebrate the holiday season with music by attending the annual Christmas Vespers Concert on Sunday, December 4. The Cowley College Singers and Cowley College Concert Choir will perform traditional Christmas music. There is no cost to attend the event which will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Robert Brown Theatre.

The Memorial Bell Choir from First United Methodist Church in Winfield, KS will also perform. The choir’s director, Chance Alquest, is an alumni of Cowley. The Memorial Bell Choir will perform three pieces on their own, as well as accompanying the Concert Choir in their last selection. This selection will include flute soloist Rylie McConnell, a freshman from Bossier City, LA.

The Cowley College Singers and Concert Choir will perform such favorites as Deck the Halls, Let It Snow!, I’ll Be Home for Christmas, and Silent Night, as well as some lesser-known Christmas music. 

Following Vespers, audience members can head to the college’s Earle N. Wright Community Room for a reception hosted by the Cowley College Foundation.
