All students successfully pass license exams


Cowley College Paramedic and Fire Science programs located in Winfield showed a strong performance on their recent license exams. 

The paramedic students completed their practical exam boards on Friday, December 16th, at the Cowley College Winfield Allied Health Campus. All 10 students successfully passed the 12 station exam on the first attempt. Jeremy Goerzen was the instructor for the program, and the class included students from Winfield, the Wichita metro area, and Harper County. 


Testing for the fire science students was conducted on Saturday, December 17th, at the Winfield Fire/EMS station. All students successfully passed the practical exam on the first attempt.


Instructor Chad Mayberry, who is a captain with Winfield Fire/EMS, had high praise for the fire science students. "This group of students has set the bar very high" Mayberry said. "I'm very impressed with the work the students have done this semester. 

These classes represent the 28th paramedic program and first fire science class at Cowley College.
