Car care clinic continues to help families in need

Cowley College recently played host to the annual car care clinic which was started and put on by Daniel Yocum and volunteers from the First Assembly of God in Arkansas City. The clinic was held Saturday, January 20 at Cowley College’s Automotive Technology Building and had assistance from students in the automotive program.

The clinic is designed to help those less fortunate in situations where maintaining their vehicles is not always a possibility. Cowley College houses the clinic twice a year.

“The clinic helps those families with an oil change and quick diagnostic of any future concerns or problems,” Cowley College automotive instructor Daniel Brooks said. “This service is great for families in situations that need a running vehicle to make it.”

Cowley College volunteers were, pictured from left, Colton Banta, Steven Gregg, Lane Morgan, Dylan Matthew, Daniel Brooks, and Dustin Nance.
