Cowley CARES Conference to aid those within area of early childhood education

Cowley College’s main campus in Arkansas City will host the fourth annual Cowley CARES Conference Saturday, August 5 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This local conference is to help those within the area of early childhood education earn the proper professional development needed to keep or maintain their Kansas Department of Health Education (KDHE) License. Registration and vendor booths will open at 7:30 a.m.

"We have enjoyed creating a working relationship the child care providers, foster parents and many others within the past four years" Janet Davidson, Cowley College Director of Childcare and Development/Early Childhood Education said. "We look forward to this event every year, my goal is to make the providers/families feel special and gain quality training."

Davidson said there will be 13 vendor booths and eight amazing presenters at this year’s conference.

“We offer options each session so that the attendee can pick according to their needs,” Davidson said. “I want to thank Desaree Groene, Emily Soule, Beth Reeder, Amy Hutto, Deb Herndon, Julie Rhoads, Regina Miller and Jennie Larson for taking the time to present at this year’s event.”
