Golden Tigers conduct fall enrollment at Cowley College

 

Golden Tigers conduct fall enrollment at Cowley CollegeCommunity members turned out for the Cowley College Golden Tigers fall enrollment held Tuesday, August 22 inside the Earle N. Wright Community Room. Classes are offered September through November.


The Golden Tigers is a popular program for men and women age 50 and over. Those wishing to still enroll for fall classes in the Golden Tigers program can contact (620) 441-5286 or e-mail: lena.watkins@cowley.edu.


Three educational trips are also planned throughout the fall. The trips include Coffeyville and Chanute, KS, Wellington and Oxford, KS, and Wichita, KS.


The Golden Tigers are also offering a Driver Safety Class from 1-5 p.m. September 13-14. The class will be held at the Webb-Brown Academic Center Room 207. Ron Upton will serve as the instructor for the class. The cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members.


The Driver Safety program is an 8-hour classroom refresher course. Individuals must attend both sessions to receive a certificate. Insurance companies in Kansas give a discount to seniors on their car insurance upon class completion.
