Former Cowley College criminal justice student receives awards

 

Former Cowley College criminal justice student receives awardsCodie Trobaugh, a former Cowley College criminal justice student was recently the recipient of two awards from the Wichita Police Department.

  
Trobaugh received the Officer of the Month award for the Patrol East Division of the Wichita Police Department in both June and July. He received the June award for his professional actions taken during the apprehension of two armed suspects during the robbery of a convenience store.  The July award was given to Trobaugh due to actions he took during the pursuit of a kidnapping suspect. This incident resulted in the arrest of the suspect, safe return of the victim, as well as the seizure of multiple pounds of methamphetamine.


“The criminal justice program would like to congratulate Mr. Trobaugh on the recognition and a job well done,” criminal justice instructor Frank Owens said.
