Cowley Music Majors attend the Kansas Consortium of Music Teacher Education Professors and StudentsCowley Music Majors attended the Kansas Consortium of Music Teacher Education Professors and Students (KCOMTEPS) September 24th-25th in Wichita, KS. Students were able to attend sessions that would benefit them in the field of music education as well as hear featured clinician Dr. Vicki R. Lind. Lind, a Wichita State University alum, is a professor of music education at the University of Arkansas where she serves as the coordinator for the music education program. Students were able to participate in her interactive clinic on being culturally responsive in the music classroom.

The clinic was a fantastic event to attend as it gave students the chance to make connections with other students and professors in the field of Music Ed. Cowley College faculty member Lindsay Allen said "My hope is that hearing passionate teachers such as Dr. Lind will get them even more excited to get into the classroom so they can make a difference in students' lives!"
