Mile Marker Review announces October contest winners

Cowley College's online literary journal, Mile Marker Review (, is pleased to announce the publication of its second annual October contest winners.

For the contest, writers had to compose a fearful story of five sentences or less, create a frightful poem, or capture October in a photo. The Mile Marker Review editors were pleased with all the great submissions, and it was a difficult decision to narrow down their picks. However, they selected works from the following Cowley Tigers:

Cowley students: Felipe Escalante, Emma Pray, Tuck Sears, Hannah Lyles, Grayson Gorday, Ruairi Ferris, and JC Pappan.

Cowley alumni Vic Olmstead.

Please check out the winners’ work under the Fiction, Poetry, and Photography headings.

In addition, Mile Marker Review ( also publishes weekly articles and blogs written by Cowley students as well as publishing collected works of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, art and design, and photography every spring.
