Chili and Art Sale continues to raise money for Art and Design Club

December 6, 2018

Students in Cowley College’s Art and Design Club raised more than $300 during the 12th annual Art Club Chili and Art Sale Wednesday, December 5 in the Earle N. Wright Community Room.

“The event was a big success and made money for the Art Club,” Visual & Performing Arts Department Chair/Art and Design Club sponsor Mark Flickinger said.

Individuals had the opportunity to buy a ceramic bowl made by members of the Art and Design Club and eat the bonus of a bowl of homemade chili for free. A bowl of homemade chili could be purchased separately for $3.

Student artwork and handmade ornaments were also priced to sale. The ornaments were made by Cowley College Graphic design and CTE students. There are remaining ornaments for sale in the Visual & Performing Arts Office located in Brown Center Room 100 at a cost of $8 each or three for $20.

The money raised will go into the Art and Design Club fund and will help with the Club’s trip to Washington D.C. in May, 2019.
