Fifteen students in Cowley College’s Academic Civic Engagement through Service (ACES) organization recently took part in Food Handlers classes at the Wichita Health and Environmental Center prior to helping with the set up, meal preparation and clean up at The Lord’s Diner in Wichita. read more



Numana Food Packaging Event,
October 20, 2012
Students in Cowley College’s ACES (Academic Civic Engagement through Service) and CAAT (Cowley Activity Awareness Team) organizations recently took part in a Numana Food Packaging Event.  They had 77 volunteers package 25,500 meals in an hour and forty-five minutes.

ACES/CAAT Fundraiser Carry Out Dinner

ACES/CAAT Fundraiser Carry Out Dinner
On Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 4:30-7 p.m. in the Wright Room, ACES and CAAT… with the help of Ark City Optimists, and the cooking of Jay Warren will be putting on a fundraiser Pulled Pork Dinner. CAAT and ACES students will be selling tickets for $10 each. The proceeds from this event will be used to purchase food supplies for the ACES Food Packaging event in late October and also for CAATs to attend the Bacchus Conference.

ACES students from Cowley College’s main campus in Arkansas City and the Mulvane Center met up with Stephani Johns-Hines, the new Associate Dean of Online and Outreach Education, to march in Mulvane’s Old Settler’s Day parade and promote Cowley College. James Fry, ACES coordinator, helped assist with the event.
