Annual Chili Cook offAnnual Chili cook off
The Mulvane Math and Science Club sponsored its annual chili cook off on Wednesday. Club members and faculty sponsors provided the chili and fixings, which was sold for $1.50 for a “bottom-less” bowl. Bottled water and desserts were also available for $.50 each. As always, a wide range of chilis were entered in the contest. These included several kinds of regular chili with beef and beans, two kinds of white chicken chili, and even a meat-less, pumpkin chili. The club started serving at 11:00 a.m. and by late afternoon, everything was gone. Of course, no Math and Science club fundraiser would be complete without music provided by Uwe Conrad, club sponsor. The club raised $135.00, which will be used to defray the cost of a spring field trip. The Mulvane Math and Science Club is open to any student attending the Mulvane campus and meets monthly for a business meeting and to plan projects.
