Cowley College’s Alpha Gamma Upsilon Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa recently received Five Star status for a sixth consecutive year. While, the organization’s vice president, Will Weeks, was presented with the Distinguished Chapter Officer Award at the regional level.  read more

Cowley College’s Phi Theta Kappa honors organization will host the second annual benefit dinner and silent auction at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 3 in the Earle N. Wright Community Room. Tickets can be purchased from PTK members or at the college’s Humanities office. read more

   

PTKPTK students honored at awards luncheon
Fifty-two top community college scholars from the state of Kansas, including three from Cowley College, were honored Feb. 13 in Topeka at the annual Phi Theta Kappa Honor’s Luncheon.
Representing Cowley were, Will Weeks and Kristen Phipps from the main campus in Arkansas City, and Alyssa Schartz from the Mulvane Center. read more

   
Fifty-three committed to complete
Commit to CompleteAs a follow-up for Phi Theta Kappa’s November 19 Founders Day, the Ark City campus sponsored a  Commit to Complete event encouraging that students pledge to finish college. The McAtee dining center was used during lunch to target resident students.  Members obtained fifty-three signatures on a banner that will be displayed along with other community college banners at our regional conference in the spring. Cowley hosts food packaging event to aid area food banks

Cowley PTK raises more than $2,000 for Bowl for Kids’ Sake

PTKThanks to the help of its sponsors along with Cowley College’s Phi Theta Kappa representatives, Cowley College’s Bowl for Kids’ Sake participants raised more than $2,000 during the recent event.
Bowl For Kids’ Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters’ signature fundraiser with more than a half a million people across America come together to have fun and raise money to support the cause. read more
