March 3-5, Beta Phi Upsilon from Cowley College’s Mulvane Center attended the Regional Hallmark Awards Convention for the Kansas-Nebraska region of Phi Theta Kappa. Friday began with the nomination of Jeramy Lamar for region president. A political rally was held in the evening where Jeramy and his campaign manager, Amira Lamb, along with chapter members Courtney Anderson, Liz Dao, Kellie Hampton, Ethan Aldrich and alumnus Alyssa Schartz passed out information pieces and promoted Jeramy to others in the region. read more

Two Cowley College-Mulvane Campus students were named to the 2016-2017 All Kansas Academic Team and were honored in Topeka on Thursday, February 16. The event, sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, the Kansas Association of Community College Trustees (KACCT), and the Kansas Council of Community College Presidents, serves to recognize top students from the state’s community colleges. read more

On November 4-6, six students and two advisors of the Beta Phi Upsilon chapter of Phi Theta Kappa on the Mulvane campus attended a regional conference in Lincoln, NE. The three day conference featured seminar groups to discuss the rising cost of education and FAFSA. Students met others from their Kansas-Nebraska region, participated in breakout sessions over honors in action, college projects, alumni associations, running for office and more. read more
