Summer Pell Grant

You May be Eligible for a Full Pell Grant for Summer Classes!

May 2014 Graduates have an opportunity to receive up to $2,823 to help pay for summer classes at Cowley!

What do you need to do to see if you qualify for summer 2014 Pell?

Why are May 2014 graduates potentially eligible for summer 2014 Pell? Cowley’s financial aid year is from fall to summer therefore seniors graduating in May would not have been eligible for Pell grants during our current academic year. That is where the great opportunity for seniors in high school to receive summer Pell at Cowley comes into play, since they did not use any of those funds for the fall and spring semesters they could be eligible for summer Pell!

May 2014 graduates who are interested in taking classes at Cowley for the summer 2014 need to fill out the 2013-2014 FAFSA application using their parents 2012 income tax returns and theirs (if they worked in 2012).

The free application for federal aid can be found at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

Receiving summer Pell will not affect any financial aid the student is scheduled to receive for the academic year beginning in August 2014.

Not planning on attending Cowley in the fall? No big deal, at the end of the summer semester, simply fill out a transcript request form either with a Admissions representative at any of our locations or online at http://www.cowley.edu/academics/registrar/transcripts.html.

Don’t delay! Get your FAFSA filed and enroll in summer classes!
