Cowley College offers courses to students with a variety of skill levels. The Cowley Course Placement Guidelines Table lists the mathematics, reading and English courses students will take based on their assessment scores.

Students must meet one of the above criteria for placement into the desired math class.

*To enroll in Calculus I, students should have a minimum grade of C or better in MTH4425 Trigonometry, or minimum grade of C or better in MTH4420 College Algebra or MTH4432 Calculus for Business and Economics with recent trigonometry in high school, or satisfactory course placement assessment of 25 ACT math score with recent trigonometry in high school

Please note: Concurrent HS Students need 69 Accuplacer Reading score to qualify for academic general education courses or an 18 ACT Reading score.  Career & Technical Education students (CTE) and C.N.A. students need at least a Reading score  of 58 Accuplacer or 63 Compass.

College Algebra is the lowest math level a concurrent student can enroll in. (College Algebra with Review is not available to HS students).
