Jason Huffman
Jason Huffman is Technical Director of Theatre at Cowley College in Arkansas City, Kansas. He had spent the past 20 plus years living and working in Southeast Kansas where he worked as a Technical Director, Performing Arts Center Manager, Director, Educator, and Designer until relocating to Arkansas City in the fall of 2021 to teach Stagecraft and design.
Jason has designed Sets, Lighting, Sound, and Special Effects for Theatre and Dance. He is also a director with over 50 productions under his belt. He has designed shows for Cowley College, Independence Community College, Fort Scott Community College, Fort Scott High School, Pittsburg Community Theatre, Midwest Regional Ballet, and was the Theatre Director at Pittsburg High School where he taught Theatre and Directed.
He is a regular presenter for Oklahoma Thespians Conference, Kansas State Thespians conference and International Thespian Conference hosting workshops on Theatrical Sound Reinforcement, Using SketchUp for Theatrical Design Basics, and The Basics of Q-Lab for Audio and Video Playback.
Jason also has been published in the online magazine Dramatics.org. He has won multiple Jester awards from Music Theatre Wichita for Sound Design and multiple Certificate of Achievement from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival for both Scenic Design and Lighting Design. He also is a Freelance designer and consultant for theatre.
