Phi Theta Kappa Mulvane Students Raise $479 for Upcoming Conference

Mulvane PTK

During the first and second week of February, Mulvane Phi Theta Kappa students raised money with a Valentine’s Day Bake Sale and accepted donations as they raised money to cut the cost of regional conference registration for members.

Items for sale included puppy chow, banana nut muffins, heart-shaped sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies, no-bake cookies, brownies, and pretzel mix.

Over four total days, students raised a total of $479 to apply towards attending the Hallmark Awards Conference in Manhattan, KS March 4-6. In total, this money was able to cover the registration fees of three members who wanted to attend.

The fundraising came at a time when new invitations for Phi Theta Kappa were extended to qualified students. February 8th, Mulvane PTK members held a meeting with free pizza and invited as many people as they could to come get involved. The bake sale was used as a way to spread the word about Phi Theta Kappa and encourage new membership!

Phi Theta Kappa would like to extend its sincere gratitude to all who donated food, funds, or time to their cause!
