Flora and Ulysses poster

In advance of Friday and Saturday performances of Flora & Ulysses, Cowley College’s Act One Drama Club will perform in front of more than 1,200 area elementary students and teachers.

The Act One Drama Club students performed Flora & Ulysses twice on Wednesday and will again do so on Thursday inside the Robert Brown Theatre. Additional performances will be open to the public on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m.

Show synopsis: Can a little squirrel change the human heart? After getting sucked up by a vacuum cleaner, a (now hairless) squirrel is rescued by Flora Belle Buckman, a 10-year-old self-proclaimed cynic. She names him Ulysses and discovers he has been reborn as a superhero. Indeed, this once-average squirrel can suddenly understand Flora, fly and even write poetry. Together they embark on an adventure full of quirky characters and bursting with heart.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children or those with a military ID. Tickets can be purchased at cowley.edu/box-office.
