Student pantry accepting body wash and soap in December

The Cowley College student pantry has been up and running since August 2023. Since then, the pantry has received two very generous donations.

One is from the college's own ACES program run by James Fry. The ACES program donated $400 of their hard-earned money and warm-weather clothing items.

“It's a blessing to see our Cowley students helping other Cowley students,” director of housing Lynlea Bartlett said.

Central Christian Church Ark City Missions committee was also generous, with a $500 donation to the pantry.

“We cannot begin to express how thankful we are to have such a supportive community,” Bartlett said. “With the weather turning colder, the pantry elected to purchase additional coats in sizes we had already run out of. We will also be looking to order more quick meals and snack foods for the student pantry. Again, we cannot thank them enough for their support.”

Along with those who have made donations to the monthly donation drive, in December, the pantry will be collecting body wash, bar soap, and hand soap.
