Pursue an automotive career

Welcome to Cowley College's Automotive Technology program! Our program is ideal for students who want to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to work in the automotive service industry.

We offer comprehensive courses that will teach you the fundamentals of automotive service technology, from basic engine repairs to advanced diagnostics. Our program is designed to give you hands-on experience in the automotive service industry and provide you the skills and knowledge to become a successful automotive technician.

Students at Cowley College are given the opportunity to earn a technical certificate or an Associate of Applied Science degree. After completing an AAS automotive technology degree, individuals can choose to further their education at many four-year schools through our transfer agreements. Our program also provides the student with the entry-level skills required to become an automotive technician immediately. The motor vehicle repair industry has transformed into a high-tech career. It requires advanced technical training, strong communication abilities, computer skills, electrical/electronic background, mechanical know-how, and hand-eye coordination in the colleges automotive building.

NATEF Standards

Our Automotive Service Technology program follows the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) teaching standards for both secondary and post-secondary students and is an educational member of the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). Graduates are trained to become service managers, service engineers, automotive writers, automotive technology instructors, service technicians, parts technicians, shop owners, and many other career opportunities.

Become an Automotive Tech

Additionally, our program will provide you with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in our automotive shop. By the end of the program, you will be well-equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to become a successful automotive technician. We look forward to having you join the Automotive Technology program at Cowley College!

Digital Badges

We want our students to shine, so we created Digital Badges. These badges show the skills and accomplishments our graduates earned at Cowley College. After completing the program, you can use them to create an online resume for job applications. Employers can click on the badges to see what you have achieved. This helps them see your effort and sets you apart from other applicants.
