Study interactions in the Earth’s natural environment
This Associate of Science transfer pathway in Environmental Science prepares students to transfer to the four-year institution of their choice to earn a bachelor’s degree in specific fields such as conservation, environmental policy, environmental management, and pollution management.

Environmental science studies the interactions between biological, chemical, and physical aspects of the environment. Environmental science examines the human impact on the environment. These include influences upon agriculture, energy, water resources, and air quality. Environmental science careers include energy managers, sustainability consultants, environmental scientists, water conservationists, environmental planners, and policy analysts.

The basic courses taken at Cowley College will transfer to state colleges and universities and most other schools throughout the nation. The student is advised to consult the proposed transfer institution for the additional course and application requirements, as they can vary widely from institution to institution.
